Summer 2011 – Last Days in St Marys

It was a summer of, “Oh yeah.” It was a summer of wonderful grammar such as, “Here us am,” and “I very, very like this,” and “You no come with me.” It was a summer of independence; “I do it on my own.” It was a summer of alphabets and counting. It was a summer … Continue reading »

Letters

Tonight we had the side walk chalk out writing letters and he said, “My name and Auntie Peggy’s name start the same.” I very gently squashed his little idea and said condescendingly, “No sweetie, they start differently. Your name begins with a B and Auntie Peggy’s name begins with a P.  Two different letters.”  He … Continue reading »

Skating Part 2

Another fun day at the rink.  This time with a skating frame and a Grandpa on ice.  Both gave Blake a bit more confidence and independence.  He’s doing great! Three generations of skaters. He’s got standing on ice figured out.  It’s the moving part that’s tricky. Skating is fun and all, but the very best … Continue reading »

Fridays at the St Mary’s Library rock! We go at 10:30 for Tales for Tots and IT IS SO MUCH FUN! There are stories and rhymes and songs and actions and Blake has a blast.  It’s a big deal – they need to move a lot of things around to make room for the 50+ … Continue reading »
