Books to Eat is a series of Mondays in our school library where kids/families create a book inspired something to eat. In the past, entries have ranged from incredibly complicated cakes to very simple.People have brought in a single pea to celebrate the book Little Pea, people have also brought in cakes longer than a meter of a realistic dragon for Lord of the Rings. The creativity and delicious is off the charts.
Blake and I are keen participants. We think and plan all year and sometimes put in 2,3 or 4 cakes a year. This year we were out of town for two of the three weeks (disappointing, but worth it) so he and I each made an entry for the first day only.

It’s made of Rice Krispies wrapped around a can of soda. He later baked brownies as a base with some blue glass candy around it to look like waves.
